The world is changing at a rapid pace and so is the world of travel. We want to bring together a new generation of travelers to share stories, get inspired, and discover new ideas, experiences, gadgets and gear. And to begin building a community who will take strides towards a better future together. The first festival takes place March 9-11, 2018 at Arena in Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighborhood.
The festival will feature a stage program that will include everything from social-innovation stories, to epic food adventures, to top travel hacks for families, to music and more.
The other primary feature is an experience floor, which will be divided into distinct areas. Each area will focus on a specific type of travel—such as immersive culture journeys or fast and fun weekenders—and will present a curated selection of destinations, experiences, services, fashion, technology, and inspiration.
A lot has changed in recent years. Not just the ways that we get inspired about and plan our travel, but also what we do when we’re out on the road. Come see what’s new in the world of travel.
The Berlin Travel Festival will take place at Arena, a 6,500-sqm warehouse located directly on the Spree river in the heart of Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighborhood. Built in 1926, Arena originally housed a bus depot and the link to its industrial past is is part of its unique vibe. .
Today, Arena is one of Berlin’s most coveted venues and counts leading trade shows such as SEEK, Bread & Butter, and Berlin Fashion Week as returning clients.
Just outside Arena are some of Berlin’s most beloved spots: Badeschiff, a floating swimming pool made from a shipping container; the world-renowned techno hub, Club der Visionaere; and her on-water sister venue, Hoppetosse.
The experience floors will present a mix of must-have travel gadgets, word-of-mouth destinations from across the globe, excellent services for once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and more.
