CEO and founder of TeachSurfing gUG, Miganoush Magarian, has spent the last three years building a global network connecting volunteers who want to share their knowledge with over 200 schools and organisations worldwide.
Miganoush holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Software Engineering from Iran and Sweden respectively. She has over six years’ experience working as software developer and project manager for Ericsson AB in Sweden and the SAP Innovation Center in Germany. She is active in promoting alternative education programs, and was selected as the One Young World international leadership network’s Speaker and Ambassador. Miganoush enjoys sharing her knowledge both at home and abroad. To date, she has offered free IT and business development workshops for schools and NGOs in Armenia, South Africa and Serbia.
TeachSurfing is a social business founded in August 2015 that works to enable people to share their skills, knowledge and culture with local communities across the world, overcoming cultural barriers in the process. The Host Organizations number over 200 schools, NGOs, and communities with diverse learning needs from 50 countries, all of which are registered on TeachSurfing’s online platform. To date, they have prepared and supported over 100 TeachSurfers, their volunteer experts, to deliver over 150 workshops to Host Organizations across seven countries.
